Imoogi is a simpleton living a bottom-tier life. He finds himself on the brink of death after a brutal encounter with a martial arts sect he was forced to pay tribute to.
At that critical moment, he meets "Mad Poison" and survives. After undergoing a miraculous physical transformation, he begins to hold his own against the local sects, only to be hunted by their very root: the Mt. Hua Sect. Ultimately, recalling the cryptic words muttered by Mad Poison, he sets off for Mount Giryeon to claim the legendary techniques of the Ghostly God Demon.
Years later, Imoogi returns as a transcendent being, completely unrecognizable from his former self. His mad crusade through the martial world against the Mt. Hua Sect begins.
